Mediterranean Interregional Committee

The Mediterranean Commission of UCLG is a consultation platform assembling local and regional authorities of Mediterranean countries their networks and/or associations. It enables direct political exchanges between local and regional elected officials and institutional actors of the Mediterranean involved in the region’s development.

The Mediterranean Commission has become a privileged forum for dialogue among regional and local authorities of the Mediterranean that are able to express through the Commission their common interests and their determination to build together a Euro-Mediterranean area of development, solidarity and peace.

Even though the structure of the Committee is recently pending, Laurence Griette is the Head of Technical Secretariat of the Committee.
