- The UCLG Committee on Development Cooperation and City Diplomacy, chaired by Mr. Gérard Collomb, Mayor of Lyon (France) and Annemarie Jorritsma-Lebbink, Chair of the Association of Netherlands Municipalities (VNG), The Netherlands, aims to develop a world charter on decentralized cooperation, to strengthen cooperation between local governments from different world regions and to participate actively in achieving full recognition for the role of local government in public development aid.
- The Committee on Development Cooperation and City Diplomacy is formally liaised with various Working Groups, such as the Capacity and Institution Building Working Group, the Working Group on Migration and Co-Development and the Working Group on Responsible Tourism and Sustainable Development.
