TÜLİN ERSÖZ WAS THE GUEST OF THE UCLG-MEWA LOCAL GOVERNMENT TALKS 27.03.2015

Tülin ERSÖZ, advisor to the Mayor of Istanbul and Chairman of Tourism Workshop was the guesf of the 12th Session of UCLG-MEWA Local Government Talks, held on 26 March, 2015. Mrs. Ersöz shared her experiences she gained during her 40 years of municipalism, in her talk, titled " Tourism and Local Governments". She also made significant remarks on tourism in Istanbul, communicated the problems, presented specific figures and provided information on the IMM (Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality) Tourism Workshop.

IMM Tourism Workshop is a department which produces projects. They are involved in the implementation of the projects as a supervisor.  Improvement works in many places in Istanbul, such as Talimhane neighborhood in Taksim,or Akbıyık Street in Sultanahmet Neighborhood have been carried out with contrbutions of IMM Tourism Workshop.  Tülin Ersöz also mentioned the future projects such as 2018 World Design Capital candidacy of Istanbul. 

The event ended with presentation of a plaque to Mr.s Ersöz, after the Q&A session.
