Transportation Policies Will Be Discussed in Istanbul

Transportation Policies Will Be Discussed in Istanbul

ISPARK is hosting the Transportation and Parking Areas Management Symposium.  Pioneers and think-tanks of the of transportation sector is gathering in Istanbul to evaluate the new leaps in the sector.

The 3rd  of the  International Transportation and Parking Areas Management Symposium will be organized in Istanbul, under the leadership of ISPARK, an affiliate of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.

New projects aiming at the parking strategies of Ground, Naval and Air transportation vehicles will be discussed in detail, with participation of European Parking Association (EPA) President, Mr. Nick Lester. The symposium, which will feature Coordinator of the Victoria Transportation Policies Institute, Mr. Todd Litman will host managers and professionals in the transportation and parking systems from various countries of the world.

The symposium, which will be organized within the scope of the International Intertraffic fair, will be attended by experts, academicians, local government representatives and many local and international invitees from the business world.

First Step Towards the Turkish Parking Association

Among the aims of the symposium is, gathering all the organizations developing strategies and projects for parking solutions and operating parking spaces, and private sector under the same roof. In the workshop to be organized in the event, the first step towards establishing a Turkish Parking Association, with the participation of ISPARK and other institutions, pioneered by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. It is aimed that the structure of the system will be determined and the systematic and quality service concept is introduced. Besides, solutions for problems of the sector, which will gather under the same roof, arising out of different legal practices will be sought.

With the association to be established, cooperation on many issues such as occupational experience, mutual support, facilitating the mutual cooperation among the occupational parking organizations, measures and solutions for parking and urban mobility; parking solutions for transportation vehicles will be ensured.

European Parking Association is considered to be the most important organization by which the strategies aiming at parking areas are determined. ISPARK is among the members of the association, which was established with the participation of authorities and sectoral representatives from different countries.  ISPARK aims at carrying its success in this association and in the sector, to the Turkish Parking Association, which it will found.

New Solutions for the Traffic will be Exhibited in Intertraffic

Intertraffic expo, within which the symposium will be held, will gather investors and organizations from different countries and latest innovations and smart solutions in the transportation sector will be presented to the visitors.

In the event which will last for 2 days on 30-31 May, in Istanbul Expo Center will host sessions, titled “Future Trends in Automobile and Parking”, “Special Solutions in Intracity Transportation”, “Parking Culture” “Parking Area Plans and Strategies”, “Technology in Parking Areas”, “Green Solutions in Intracity Transportation”.  Parking, which is considered to be among the important sectors of the world will be handled with its economic dimensions.

It is aimed that the symposium, in which alternative ideas and projects will be exchanged, will shape the future, ensure exchange of different ideas and data; and most importantly, develop common projects, with regards to the solutions of the problems.
