The OICC's llth International Scientific Symposium on "Environmental Protection Legislations: Towards Sustainable Development" And the Exhibition on "Environmental Protection and the Achievements of Islamic Capitals and Cities Municipalities"

In pursuance of the tradition of the Organization of Islamic Capitals and Cities (OICC) of organizing international scientific symposia to address scientific issues of interest to the municipalities of Islamic capitals and cities;

The OICC in collaboration with the Municipality of the Holy City of Makkah, Member of the OICC and Permanent Member of its Administrative Council, will organize its 11th International Scientific Symposium, in parallel to its 13th General Conference, which will be hosted by the Municipality of Holy City of Makkah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the city of Makkah during the period 1-3 September 2013 (25-27 Shawwal 1434 H). The Symposium will be cosponsored by Islamic Development Bank and a number of international organizations. The symposium will bring together the OICC's member capitals and cities, universities, scientific and research institutions, non-governmental organizations, civil society institutions, experts and specialists in environment and sustainable development, businessmen, private sector firms and students.

The OICC  is pleased to invite the  participation of its members  as well as researchers and specialists   through   the  submission   of  the  presentation   of  their  experience  within   the framework of the Symposium's track  themes, or just through  attendance.

The OICC also will organize its International Exhibition on "Environmental Protection and Achievements of Islamic Capitals and Cities Municipalities". It is a specialized exhibition in the: fields of environmental protection and sustainable development. A number of OICC's member Islamic capitals and cities, governmental bodies, local, regional and international institutions, consultancy firms and private sector will participate in the exhibition to demonstrate the best practices and showcase their scientific, research, applied and technological products through posters, bulletins, systems, programs and applied projects.

The  OICC   is  pleased  to  invite  its  members,  governmental  bodies,  local,  regional  and international  institutions, consultancy   firms   and   private   sector   to  participate  in  the exhibition.
