Statement delivered by Local Authorities at the Rio+20 Summit 27.06.2012

During the Opening Plenary of the UN Conference on Sustainable Development, Rio+20 Summit, Local Authorities Major Group delivered a key statement and called for a multi-level governance to achieve the MDGs and Sustainable Development Goals, recognize local and sub-national governments as important stakeholders, create additionnal national and international financial mechanisms for sustainability and enhance access to these from local and sub-national regional authorities.
