SMART CITIES AND INNOVATION SUMMIT 26.12.2014

United Cities and Local Governments Middle East and West Asia Section (UCLG-MEWA) organized its Smart Cities and Innovation Summit on 20 December 2014 in Adana/Turkey at kind invitation of Adana Metropolitan Municipality and with the contribution of Union of Municipalities of Turkey and World Academy for Local Government Democracy (WALD).

Several local authorities and private sector experts who are working on related areas participated in Smart Cities and Innovation Summit which attracted intensive attention. Within the scope of the Summit; 26 presentations were held under the titles of ‘‘Lightening Practices in Smart Cities’’, ‘’Smart Environment and Sustainable Energy’’, ‘’E-municipality, Transparency and Accountability in Local Governments’’, ‘’Smart Communication Technologies’’, ‘’Smart Traffic Systems’’, ‘’Usa of Geographical Information Systems and Innovative Practices in Local Governments’’. The Summit, which aimed at creating a platform where mutual information exchanges and new cooperation can be associated concluded with closing speeches and presentation of the plaques and after the family photo was taken.
