Secretary General of UCLG-MEWA Mr. Mehmet DUMAN paid an official visit to Honorary Consul of Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan 6.07.2012

Secretary General of UCLG-MEWA Mr. Mehmet DUMAN paid an official visit to Honorary Consul of Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Istanbul Mr. A. Selim EGELİ, on 29 June 2012, on strengthening of cooperation among local governments in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

During the visit, Secretary General submitted to H.E Honorary Consul of Jordan invitation letters addressing local governments such as Amman, Irbid and Zarqa. On the occasion of this visit Secretary General also presented a plaque to H.E Honorary Consul Mr. A. Selim EGELİ.

Secretary General Duman also said that: “UCLG-MEWA aims to embrace and strengthen all local and regional authorities under its roof; we would be pleased and honored to have the cities of Jordan among our prominent members in the MEWA region, along with a number of other cities from Jordan.”
