Secretary General of UCLG-MEWA Mr. Mehmet DUMAN paid an official visit to Consulate General of Egypt in Istanbul 27.01.2014

On 27^th of January 2014, Mr. Mehmet DUMAN, the Secretary General of United Cities and Local Governments Middle East and West Asia section, paid an official visit to the Consulate General of Egypt.

Mr. DUMAN, accompanied by Mr. İhsan İKİZER and Mr. Bilal SOUDA, presented UCLG-MEWA organization and its activities to the Deputy Consul General, Ms. Shaheera Assy. He also submitted invitation letters to the Governorates of Egypt to become members in UCLG-MEWA organization. Secretary General Mr. DUMAN noted that “UCLG-MEWA aims to embrace and strengthen all local and regional authorities under its roof; we would be pleased and honoured to have the Egyptian Governorates among our members from the Middle East and West Asia region.”

Finally, Mr. DUMAN presented the shield of UCLG-MEWA to the Deputy Consul General and extended his gratitude for her kind welcoming and hospitality.
