Secretary General of UCLG-MEWA Mr. Mehmet DUMAN paid an official visit to Consul General of United Arab Emirates in Istanbul 7.07.2012

Secretary General of UCLG-MEWA Mr. Mehmet DUMAN paid an official visit to Consul General of United Arab Emirates in Istanbul Mr. Saif ALSHAMISI, on 25 June 2012, on strengthening of cooperation among local governments in the United Arab Emirates.

During the visit, Secretary General submitted invitation letters addressing local governments such as Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharijah, Al-Ain and Fujairah to H.E Consul General of UAE and on the occasion of this visit Secretary General presented a plaque to H.E Consul General Mr. Saif ALSHAMISI.

Secretary General Duman also said that “UCLG-MEWA aims to embrace and strengthen all local and regional authorities under its roof; we would be pleased and honored to have the cities of United Arab Emirates among our prominent members from the MEWA region, along with a number of other cities from United Arab Emirates.”
