Secretary General of UCLG-MEWA Mr. Mehmet DUMAN paid an official visit to Consul General of Turkmenistan 6.07.2012

Secretary General of UCLG-MEWA Mr. Mehmet DUMAN paid an official visit to Consul General of Turkmenistan in Istanbul Mr. Orazmukhamed CHARYEV, on 2 July 2012, on strengthening of cooperation among local governments in the Turkmenistan.

During the visit, Secretary General submitted to H.E Consul General invitation letters addressing local governments such as Turkmenabat, Daşoğuz, Aşkabat and Türkmenbaşı . on the occasion of this visit Secretary General also presented a plaque to H.E Consul General Mr. Orazmukhamed CHARYEV.

Secretary General Duman also said that “UCLG-MEWA aims to embrace and strengthen all local and regional authorities under its roof; we would be pleased and honored to have the cities of Turkmenistan among our prominent members from the MEWA region, along with a number of other cities fromTurkmenistan.”
