Secretary General of UCLG-MEWA Mr. Mehmet DUMAN paid an official visit to Consul General of Iraq 6.07.2012

Secretary General of UCLG-MEWA Mr. Mehmet DUMAN paid an official visit to Consul General of Iraq Republic in Istanbul Mr. Ahmed Kamal Hasan AL-KAMALY, on 27 June 2012, on strengthening of cooperation among local governments in the Iraq Republic.

During the visit, Secretary General submitted invitation letters addressing local governments such as Kirkuk, Baghdad, Salahaddin, Alanbar, Basra and Mosul to H.E Consul General of Iraq Republic and on the occasion of this visit Secretary General presented a plaque to H.E Consul General Mr. Ahmed Kamal Hasan AL-KAMALY.

Secretary General Duman also said that “UCLG-MEWA aims to embrace and strengthen all local and regional authorities under its roof; we would be pleased and honored to have the cities of Iraq Republic among our prominent members from the MEWA region, along with a number of other cities from Iraq Republic.”
