Secretary General of UCLG-MEWA Mr. Mehmet DUMAN paid an official visit to Consul General of Afghanistan 7.07.2012

Secretary General of UCLG-MEWA Mr. Mehmet DUMAN paid an official visit to Consul General of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Istanbul Mr. Mohammad Sarwar MOJADIDI, on 26 June 2012, on strengthening of cooperation among local governments in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

During the visit, Secretary General submitted to H.E Consul General invitation letters addressing local governments such as Nangarhar, Kandahar, Herat, Helmand and  Balkh. On the occasion of this visit Secretary General also presented a plaque to H.E Consul General Mr. Mohammad Sarwar MOJADIDI.

Secretary General Duman also said that “UCLG-MEWA aims to embrace and strengthen all local and regional authorities under its roof; we would be pleased and honored to have the cities of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan among our prominent members from the MEWA region, along with a number of other cities from Islamic Republic of Afghanistan”
