 LAST KYRGYZ KHAN RAHMAN KUL KHAN WAS COMMEMORATED IN ISTANBUL ON THE OCCASION OF THE CENTENARY OF HIS BIRTH

Last Kyrgyz Khan Rahman Kul Khan was commemorated in Istanbul on the occasion of the centenary of his birth. The commemoration program, organized by Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), was held with the contributions of General Consulate of Kyrgyzstan to Istanbul, TIKA, and Zeytinburnu Municipality.

Ibrahim Cunusov, General Consul of Kyrgyz Republic to Ankara, Murat Aydın, Deputy President of TDBB and Mayor of Zeytinburnu Municipality, Maksat Samirov and Abdulmanar Kutuşev, deputies of Parliament of Kyrgyzstan, Bayas Tural, Kyrgyz author, family members of Rahman Kul Khan, residents of Ulupamir Village, academicians, artists, government executives, representatives of institutions, civil society organizations and other guests from Kyrgyzstan attended the programme that took place in Zeytinburnu Culture and Art Center.

After the opening speeches and the cinevision demonstration telling the life of Rahman Kul Khan, the program continued with the panel themed as “Rahman Kul Khan and Ulupamir Kyrgzs”, with the chairmanship of Dr. Fahri Solak, TDBB Secretary General. Moreover, Ayımkan Camankulova, President of Rahman Kul Khan Foundation, Prof. Nazif Şahrani, Lecturer at Indiana University, Prof. Süleyman Kayıpov, Lecturer at Çüy University, Prof. Kadırali Konkobayev, Lecturer at Manas University and Prof. Abdulvahap Kara, Lecturer at Mimar Sinan University were present at the meeting as speakers.
