KADİR TOPBAŞ, MAYOR OF ISTANBUL AND PRESIDENT OF UCLG CHAIRED THE UCLG EXECUTIVE BUREAU IN LIVERPOOL 21.07.2014

Mayors and local executives from all around the world participated in the Executive Bureau meeting in Liverpool, chaired by Kadir Topbaş, Mayor of Istanbul. Cities who requested to join UCLG and the works being done were dealt with in the meeting.

Kadir Topbaş, President of UCLG held a private meeting with Joe Anderson, Mayor of Liverpool.  Topbaş explained his works and projects in UCLG and Istanbul. Joe Andersen, who stressed that he followed up the developments in Istanbul, stated that he observed that UCLG has covered a considerable distance in terms of humanity and cities; and said “We, as the city of Liverpool, want to become a member of UCLG. We kindly ask you to help us in terms of the procedures”.
