H.R.H. Princess Mathilde meets Young People 17.10.2012

H.R.H. Princess Mathilde of Belgium visited the International Youth Leadership Academy On 16 October 2012 in Istanbul where UNICEF is empowering young people to be the leaders of future in collaboration with Habitat Center for Development and Governance, World Academy for Local Government and Democracy (WALD) and United Cities and Local Government – Middle East and West Asia Section (UCLG-MEWA).

H.R.H. Princess Mathilde highlighted the importance of investing in youth for creating equal opportunities for children and young people all around the world. She said that she is supportive of young people following a leadership training course to improve their social skills and knowledge about global issues. She welcomed the young people’s motto: “Not only leaders of tomorrow, partners of today”.
