Dr. KADİR TOPBAŞ, PRESIDENT OF UCLG, WAS RE-ELECTED PRESIDENT OF UNION OF MUNICIPALITIES OF TURKEY 21.07.2014

Dr. Kadir TOPBAŞ, Mayor of Istanbul and President of UCLG was re-elected President of Union of Municipalities of Turkey, in the elections held after the opening and certificate ceremony in the Assembly Session of the Union of Municipalities of Turkey.  Elections for the council members, who will work under the Presidency of Dr. Kadir Topbaş, President of Union of Municipalities of Turkey, were held as well.

The council was chaired by Halil Kocaer, Mayor of Kaş, since Yılmaz Büyükerşen, Mayor of Eskişehir, who is the eldest member among the UMT Assembly Members, was not present. Eren Özdemir, Councilor of Şile Municipality and Mehmet Ali Yılmaz, Councilor of Bağcılar Municipality, who are the youngest members, also took part in the council.
