CODATU XVI CONFERENCE 7.01.2015

CODATU XVI Conference – from the 2nd to the 5th of February 2015, Istanbul, Turkey

CODATU XVI conference, organised by CODATU in partnership with İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi (İTÜ), took place in Istanbul on February the 2nd to the 5th, 2015. The topic of the conference was: “Energy, climate and air quality challenges: the role of urban transport policies in developing countries and emerging economies”. Turning around climate issues linked to urban transport, the debates and presentations has made the conference a milestone on the way to COP21 in Paris in December 2015.

This event, which gathered some 400 decision makers and experts on urban mobility, was organized in two major moments:

  1. A political symposium : a political momentum  to make urban transport major field of action on mitigating climate change
  2.  A scientific conference : that aims to increase awareness about the contribution of urban transport to climate change and present solutions
