Africités Summit, Dakar, 4-8 December 2012 11.07.2012

The City of Dakar will host the 6^th edition of Africités Summit from 4th to 8th December 2012.

The Summit of Africités is the most important dialogue platform on decentralization and local governance in Africa. Over its successive editions Africités has become the place of expression for local actors in their commitment to contribute to the unity and to the continental development from its base.

The sixth edition of the Africitiés Summit has as a subject “Building Africa starting from its territories”. It will examine the impact of the dynamic of urbanization, globalization and democratization with her corollary the decentralization, on the reorganization of the settlement and development of the continent, and her inscription in the world of today and tomorrow.
