News on the visit of the Istanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development (IICSPD) 17.05.2014

On Tuesday 29th of April 2014 the director and deputy director of IICSPD, Dr. Simona Marinescu and Ms. Gülçin Salıngan, paid a visit to UCLG-MEWA headquarters to explore possible collaboration in the field of municipal policies for economical development.

The project Dr. Marinescu and Ms. Salıngan presented will be developed in two steps: a broad study on best practices and list assessment and the development of trainings to strengthen local governments in their abilities to develop local economy and increase social inclusion.

UCLG-MEWA and WALD will be happy to partner this initiative which will serve as a pilot project for other regions of the world. UCLG-MEWA invites all its members to express their interest for the programme and to contact with its Secretariat for any further information.
